Meet Dr. Kaylee
Dr. Kaylee English is a Washington state native and grew up in Marysville. She achieved her undergraduate studies at Western Washington University and was on the path of a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology when she discovered she wanted to be a chiropractor. She simultaneously obtained her Bachelors in Human Biology and her DC degree at University of Western States in Portland, Oregon.
She had a natural attraction to soft tissue work in school and has honed in those skills. She is experienced and skilled in localized deep tissue and various stretching techniques. As well as some cranio sacral therapy for adults and children.
Her philosophy is that muscles are also part of equation and when they are not worked on, the adjustments are not as effective. Every treatment has tissue therapy involved and she has been known for her unique neck work! Dr. Kaylee has personally experienced poor neck adjustments and has a sensitive neck herself. She treats patients the way SHE needs treatment and patients are grateful for her work.
She knew she wanted to focus on pregnancy care during her time in school when she surprisingly had a lot of exposure to pregnant patients. These patients seemed to gravitate towards her in student clinic and also had a lot of experience at a local women’s VOA in Portland, OR. She began focusing on and specializing in pediatric chiropractic after graduation and has been an affiliate of the ICPA since 2016. She is also Webster certified and has been treating local mamas for pre- and postnatal wellness care; as this ensures proper pelvic alignment to aid in better labor and delivery, as well as more comfort for mama during pregnancy.
Dr. Kaylee became a mother herself in August 2018 to a beautiful daughter named Aubree. When she discovered she was pregnant, she immediately called around looking for a prenatal chiropractor. She was adjusted regularly from 14-40 weeks and for her first delivery, only endured 10 hours of natural labor! Aubree was born naturally and unmedicated in the comfort of the Mount Vernon birth center. Dr. Kay knew the benefits and rewards of chiropractic care during pregnancy before being pregnant herself and is passionate about spreading this knowledge!
Dr. Kaylee had her 2nd baby, a boy named Gavin, in April 2021. During this pregnancy, she was getting regular chiropractic care (Just down the road at Snohomish Family Chiropractic!) beginning at 5 weeks all the way through until her delivery at 39 weeks. Her perinatal regimen consisted of regular weekly or biweekly (every 2 weeks) visits. Gavin was born at the same birth center as his sister Aubree, and they even shared a midwife who had been a student at Aubree's birth!
Dr. Kaylee and her family have been living in Mount Vernon since 2018, and both children were born at the Mount Vernon Birth Center. The team of Midwives there are amazing. She collaborates care with local birth workers of the surrounding areas of her practice in Mount Vernon.
When Dr Kaylee is not in the office, she is spending time with her husband and children. They enjoy time outdoors and spending quality time as a family. They are typically hiking, camping, walking, and traveling to eastern Washington or the coast. (Long Beach is Dr Kay's FAVORITE)
